College of engineering was founded in the year 1946 in Madras but got attached with the Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University in the year 1972. Finally, in the year 2003 it gained the autonomous status. This college has been accredited by NBA of AICTE, UGC. NAAC has also accredited it with A grade. The college offers B. Tech courses in civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics and communication, computer science along with self financing MCA courses to the students. Both full time and part time PhD course is also provided by the institute which are supported by AICTE, CSIR, UGC, and many more.
