Introduction

The Osmania University is a public university established in the year 1918, making it the seventh oldest university in Country and third oldest in South India. The university was established in the princely state of Hyderabad. It was established with the noble objective to achieve excellence in teaching and research and to generate, disseminate, and preserve knowledge. It was the first university to choose the official language was Urdu. The university is one of the finest universities of India and has also been awarded as “A University of Potential for Excellence” by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), Government of India, New Delhi. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi with “A+” Grade.
