Introduction

The University was named after a distinguished son of the soil and a liberation fighter, Captain Awadhesh Pratap Singh. It was founded on July 20, 1968, and received UGC recognition in February 1972. Members include the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Universities of the Commonwealth (ACAU). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the All-Commonwealth Association of Universities (ACAU) (ACAU).

The main aim of APS University is to offer students the chance to advance their knowledge through 
distance education. The University of A.P.S is a teaching associate with the University of Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Shahdol, Umariya and Singrauli, and is responsible for more than 147 colleges. The IGNOU Study Centre, where many students receive general and specialised courses, is annexed 
to the university. The university is working on a number of ambitious plans under the vibrant leadership of the honourable Vice-Chancellor. The idea is to transform the university into a city of knowledge.

The campus on either side of the Rewa-Sirmour Road is about 5 km away, and is located on a 246,20 acre plot of land north of Rewa. The complex of the University includes, apart from the overview of the administration block, the Departments of Environmental Biology, Physics, Block of Sciences, Building Humanities, Ambedkar Bhawan, Department of Hindi, MBA, Vikram Spatial Physics Center, USIC, Central Library, Antarbharati, Arjun Chhatra Griha, Guest House, Yoga Hall, Girls' and Boys' Hostels, Auditorium, Stadium and Housing of Staff.

There are also branchesof the Allahabad Bank in the campus , the Indian Post Office and the Employment Bureau. There is also a small meteorological observatory and plans for an observatory 
for seismology.

The University Campus, located at the foot of Vindhya's, is cosy and environmentally friendly, far from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Campus recreates the atmosphere of ancient Ashrams. 
Residents still have access to all of the modern conveniences and amenities, such as a canteen, Xerox, and a small shopping centre. The campus also includes a large Gymnasium hall, a Yoga hall, a large stadium, and a Lord Shiva temple nestled between a modest park (greenery).

Awadhesh Pratap Singh Admission Procedure
APS University offers a variety of courses in a variety of fields. Students must apply online for all courses in order to be considered for admission.
Admission to University courses for the academic year 2021-22 will be done online through the MPONLINE portal.
Candidates can review the admission rules as well as departmental information on the university's website.
Steps to Apply: 

  • Go to the university's official website.
  • Students can apply for the desired course.
  • Students must pay their application fees via debit/credit card or net banking.
  • Candidates must submit a printout of the admission form, as well as photocopies of their mark sheets and other required documents, to the CHAIRMAN ADMISSION COMMITTEE, School of Environmental Biology, APSU, Rewa (M.P.)-486 003 by the deadline specified in the notification via Speed Post / Regd. Post. It can also be dropped off at any of the designated Collection Centers.
  • Following the receipt of admissions forms, the college will publish the cut off list for all courses based on the qualifying exam. Students will be summoned to the basic counselling session for the final admissions decision.

Admission to university courses is made on the basis of merit in the qualifying class, except for M.Phil courses, and  in M.Phil courses, on the basis of an entrance examination.
Furthermore, the University may not run a self-supporting course with fewer than ten admitted students. In such cases, the applicant will receive a full refund of the fees paid.

Awadhesh Pratap Singh Eligibility Criteria

  • The institute offers a wide range of UG courses in subjects such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Application, Physical Education, and Law. To be admitted to the institute's relevant courses and meet the eligibility criteria for UG programmes, candidates must have a 10+2 level degree.
  • Candidates must have obtained at least 45% in their UG level examination to be eligible to apply for all PG courses after completing a PG Diploma, MSW, M.Tech, M.Lib.Sc. or M.P.Ed. In order to be considered for admission to the M.Lib.Sc, M.Tech, M.P.Ed, and MSW programmes, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a recognised university. 
  • To be eligible for a PG Diploma, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in UG / PG level from an authorised institute or university.
  • Candidates are accepted on the basis of their merit. The qualifying examination marks will be used to determine merit. If they are equal, the decision will be made using the candidates' birth dates.
