Introduction

Gauhati University is the oldest Universities of North-East India, Gauhati University was founded in the year of 1948. And has been started its functioning as ateaching, affiliating, and residential university with 18 affiliated colleges & 8 PG Departments. The functions with approx. 341 affiliated colleges along with the 39 PG Departments.

Under the all affiliated colleges & departments, the Gauhati University provides more over 100 courses across Law, Arts, Science, Medicine, Management, and Health Science Technology. Admission into the UG, PG and doctoral courses is based on university/national-level/state entrance exams. Aspiring students need to check the eligibility criteria released by the University in order to get admission in this university.
