Introduction

Gujarat Vidyapith is an institute established by Mahatma Gandhi in the year 1920. Gujarat Vidyapith is an educational institute and recognized by UGC and also is a deemed University. The institute provides various UG programs like B.Sc., B.A., B.P.Ed., BPES, B.Ed., and B.Lib.I.Sc. Some PG programs offered by Gujarat Vidhyapith are M.A., M.P.Ed., M.Ed., MSW, M.Lib.I.Sc., MCA, M.Sc., and MBA. Apart from this the University also provides courses in other fields like Ph.D., M.Phil, PGD, and also Certificate programs.

Admission into all these programs will be conducted by direct applying to the University. For most UG programs, applicants will be selected based on the merit list. For other programs such as B.Ed. in Hindi, the student must have to appear in the entrance test conducted by Gujarat University. Admission into PG programs such as MCA and MBA will also be based on the entrance exam conducted by the University itself.

The duration of UG programs is of three years. And, the duration of B.Ed. the course is two years where as the duration of B.Lib.I.Sc. andB.P.Ed. is one year. The duration of PG programs is two years except the MCA and M.Lib.I.Sc programs.
