Overview

AMITY JEE is an abbreviation for the Amity Joint Entrance Exam, which is administered by Amity University to candidates seeking admission to the university's several Engineering programs. Eligibility

Amity University offers a variety of B.Tech. programs to interested students, each with its own set of qualifying requirements. Before applying for the examination, candidates should review the qualifying requirements. The following are some of the most prevalent eligibility criteria:

  • Educational Criteria: Candidates who have finished Class 10th and are studying or have completed Class 12th or its similar exam from an acknowledged Board/University are eligible to apply for the Amity JEE.
  • Compulsory Subjects: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths [PCM] in Class 10th and Class 12th to be eligible. Furthermore, English should have been a required subject in their 12th curriculum.
  • Age Restriction: To be eligible to apply for the Amity JEE, candidates must be at least 16 years old and no older than 23 years old.
  • Reserved Category: Candidates belonging to reserved groups, such as SC, ST, OBC and so on, would be permitted a 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks attained in their qualifying examination.
  • Minimum Percentage Criteria: The minimum percentage criterion for non-sponsored and sponsored categories differs.

Syllabus

The Amity JEE Syllabus for the engineering paper includes Physics, General English, Chemistry, and Biology/ Mathematics from classes 11th and 12th. Candidates can select one of the two sections, Biology or Mathematics. Amity JEE consists of 90 questions that must be answered in 120 minutes. The general English portion comprises 15 questions, while the other three sections each have 25 questions.

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for Amity JEE is as follows:

  • All of the questions will be objective type (MCQs).
  • The total number of questions in one set will be 90, with a time restriction of 120 minutes.
  • If more than one option is picked for any question, no marks will be granted.
  • On average, 1.25 minutes will be set out for each question's solution.
  • Four points will be granted for each accurate entry, and one point will be subtracted for each wrongly answered question.
  • The degree of difficulty of the questions will be carefully maintained in accordance with the time limit.

Exam Paper

The greatest tools for preparing for the exam are Amity JEE practice papers and previous year question papers. Sample papers assist candidates in understanding the test format. Amity JEE is held entirely online. Applicants should have passed 10+2 or similar with the appropriate minimum grades from a recognized board in order to be eligible. An applicant's admission is determined by the score of Amity JEE, followed by a GD and a PI.

Exam Prepare

Amity will provide the JEE mock test in due course. It is recommended that you complete a large number of practice exams in order to improve your preparedness and confidence level. Exam Application Process

The first and most important step is to sign up for Amity JEE on the website. The admissions pack may be accessed on the website by paying the application form cost of INR 1,100. The application form, along with a photograph, must be submitted/sent to the particular campus. Aspirants must submit applications and choose the desired date, time, and campus.

  • Amity Admission Call Letter: It is mandatory for applicants to bring one government-issued photo ID (e.g., Voter ID, Aadhaar card, driving license) along with their Amity admission admit card to the counseling session.
  • Amity admissions merit list: Amity admission merit list is released on the website for all chosen students. Candidates are chosen for the counseling procedure based on their JEE Main rankings and scores.
  • Amity interview: Each campus conducts an amity interview individually. Aspirants are encouraged to visit the website on a frequent basis for updates and information on the interview and seat allocation process. 

Registration Fee:

  • Amity JEE's application fee is INR 1100.
  • It may be paid for with a credit card, NET Banking, or a debit card.
  • Additional transaction fees will be applied in accordance with the bank's policies.
  • There are no exceptions for candidates from the SC/ST/PWD categories. They are also required to pay the same application cost.
  • The application cost is non-refundable and non-transferable. There may be exceptions to this rule in the following circumstances:
  • For the same application number, more than one payment is made.
  • Paid the cost online but did not receive the application form owing to a connection problem, and the institution does not give a floppy copy of the application form.

Important: For online payments, it is crucial to keep the transaction number for future reference, and any request for a refund, for any reason, will be at the University's exclusive discretion.

Selection Process: 

Following the tests, qualified candidates will be contacted at the main campus for personal interviews and group discussions. Candidates that qualify will be assigned a subject depending on their score and availability.

  • Following the completion of the Amity JEE Exam in all cities, Amity University announces a merit list based on the performance of applicants in the exams.
  • All qualified candidates get information about the same via email and phone calls. In addition, the candidate is urged to check his/her account on a frequent basis.
  • In rare situations, candidates will be denied the ability to select from a list of counselling dates. In this instance, he can select a date to visit the designated campus for additional admission procedures.
  • Candidates must bring all relevant papers, including qualifying examination mark sheets and passport-size pictures, with them.
  • Candidates must have their admit card on them at all times. Failure to present any needed documents during counselling may result in the candidate's rejection.
  • Finally, candidates will be subjected to a series of personal interviews on campus, and they will be admitted to the institution based on their performance in the Entrance test and personal interviews.
  • Candidates with aggregate marks of 85 percent or higher in 12th (ISC/CBSE/State-Boards) are excluded from the selection procedure. The Amity Application Form will be used to choose candidates.

Cut Off: 

  • The Amity JEE cut-off marks are published on the website. To be eligible for admission into the different B.Tech. programmes offered, students must clear the Amity JEE cut-off. The Amity JEE cut-off marks are determined by the following factors:
    • The number of candidates attempting the Amity Joint Entrance Exam.
    • The level of difficulty of the Amity JEE.
    • The number of available seats.
    • Trends in previous years' cut-offs

Exam Center

During the application process, candidates will be able to choose the exam centres that best suit their needs and preferences. The Amity JEE is held in cities across India. Candidates will be assigned just one exam centre based on the choices they made throughout the application process, and it will not be modified under any circumstances. Admit Card

The admit card for Amity Admission is accessible on the website. Those who have enrolled will be able to download their admit card. Amity entrance admit cards are posted online 48 hours before the exam. To the interview centre, aspirants must bring one government ID evidence (Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc.) in addition to their Amity entrance admit cards.

Steps to download Admit Card:

  • For admission to Amity, select your chosen day and city and select the admissions webpage.

Yes, the JEE Main scorecard is a required document that applicants must bring to the counselling location for verification.
