JAIN VISHVA BHARATI INSTITUTE(JVBI) DISTANCE EDUCATION, RAJASTHAN

Rajasthan University | 1991

Introduction

JVBI was founded in Ladnun, Dist Nagaur, Rajasthan, with the inspiration of Gurudev Tulsi. Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, the Government of India designated JVBI as a Deemed-to-be University in 1991. The Institute is still headquartered on the premises of its parent institution, Jain Vishva Bharati. Gurudev Shri Tulsi was one of the first constitutional Anushastas (moral and spiritual disciplinarians), and Acharya Mahaprajna was the second. Its current Anushasta is Acharya Mahashraman. As stated in the Preamble to its Constitution (Memorandum and Articles of Association), the JVBI's purpose is as follows:

We encourage, promote, and apply the principle of Ahimsa, Anekant, tolerance, and coexistence for the good of all mankind at the Jain Vishva Bharati Institute. In the context of comparative studies in Indology, World Religions, Ahimsa, and World Peace, we, members of the Jain Vishva Bharati, therefore resolve to find and establish the University of Advanced Studies, Research, and Training in Jainology.

Distance Learning students can benefit from the best study materials available at the university. It also provides job-related courses. JVBI also provides many other facilities, such as labs, gymnasia, WIFI, a bank and ATM, a cafeteria, and so on, in order to provide a simple and straightforward style of study. It also contains a library with 3000 books, which is located in the heart of the university.

The Distance Education Council (DEC) New Delhi has authorised the courses offered by the Jain Vishva Bharati University's Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) Ladnun. JVBI provides graduate and postgraduate programmes in the Science, commerce, arts and science of living, as well as yoga and meditation. Admission to M.Phil., Ph.D., Diplomas and certificate courses is also available at the university. Admission is granted based on eligibility/candidates’ marks in the qualifying examination.
