Introduction

Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University is also known as KKHSOU and provides a huge range of courses to students. Some popular programs of the university are like B.Com, BBA, BA, MA, BCA, M.Com, M.Phil, MBA, & Ph.D. are offered for admission. Under Graduate will be based on merit while in PG admissions will be done through the entrance exam. Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University was established under the state university in Guwahati, Assam. under the Act’ 2005 enacted by the Government It is the fourteenth university of its kind in tandem with IGNOU & the only state Open University in the whole domain of North-East India, and the headquarters of this university is present at Patgoan Rani, Guwahati.

The institute offers more than 30 programs through the Distance Education scheme. The institute also offers ICT Enabled PG courses. The admission process for these programs may vary

For the UG program, an applicant will be selected based on merit list or obtained scores in their previous qualifying exam.
For MBA admission will be done on the basis of qualifying exams either MAT or KKHSOU-CET.
For other PG courses, an applicant can get admission based on merit.
For MPhil and Ph.D. admissions based on the UGC-NET or JRF or SET or KKHSOU-CET entrance exam scores. Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam on their performance in the Personal Interview.

KKHSOU Selection process

Applicants will be selected based on merit and if they into the eligibility criteria from recognized courses and university

KKHSOU PG Programs and Eligibility Criteria:

A student must have to complete the intermediate exam with Computer Science or Mathematics and be recognized by UGC for BCA admission
Applicants who possess a Polytechnic Diploma from any branch are eligible to seek admission
The student who has not opted for Computer Science or Mathematics in their intermediate is still eligible, applicants need to appear three additional courses by the college
For BBA, applicants should have completed intermediate exam from the recognized board the UGC
If the applicant doesn’t fulfill the above for BBA, then the student should have at least Polytechnic Diploma from the branch

The university also provides offers various Post graduation courses like M.Com and MA
