Overview

Every year, the DRDO Centre for Personnel Talent Management conducts DRDO CEPTAM. The exam is conducted entirely online. The selecting procedure is divided into two stages: Tier-I and Tier-II. To be considered for the applied position, candidates must complete both phases and reach the cut-off points. According to the DRDO's training policy, CEPTAM is responsible for recruiting technical, administrative, and allied employees from non-gazetted categories, assessing DRTC officers and staff, and facilitating training to develop these employees.

Eligibility

Age Restrictions: Candidates must be Indian citizens between the ages of 18 and 25. The upper age limit is relaxed for SC/ ST/ OBC/ ESM/ PWD/WIDOWS/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated from their husbands who have not remarried, Central Govt Civilian Employees, Disabled Defence Services Personnel, and Persons Domiciled in J&K State between 01-01-1980 and 31-12-1989 (as per current Government of India rules).

Educational Qualification: 

  • 10th passed or similar from an acknowledged Board or have completed an Industrial Training Institute.
  • Must have obtained the EQR as of the critical date of eligibility for the positions for which they are seeking.
  • Those who are awaiting final examination results as of the essential date of eligibility for the necessary qualification are ineligible and should not apply.
  • Technician 'A' requires a 10th pass or similar.
  • STA 'B' applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a science-related field.

Exam Pattern

  • The Centre for Personnel Talent Management has prescribed the DRDO CEPTAM Exam Pattern 2021 for Tech A, A&A, and MTS.
  • All of the tests are divided into two levels.
  • The design varies depending on the tiers and posts.
  • Computer-based testing will be used to administer the exam.
  • The test papers are made up of objective type MCQs with one mark for each question.
  • In the DRDO CEPTAM test, there is no negative marking.

Exam Paper

According to the DRDO's official statement, the selection procedure consists of three stages: Tier-I, Tier-II, and Document Verification. In any of the test phases, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. In addition to English, Hindi will also be the medium of instruction.

  • Tier-I: The DRDO CEPTAM Tier-I is the entry-level screening test. The Tier-I (CBT) score can be standardised as needed. Candidates who score the cut-off marks or higher will be shortlisted for the Tier-II test.
  • Tier-II: The ratio of selected applicants may vary based on the number of roles, openings, and people that applied. Tier-II eligible candidates will be contacted for document verification.

Verification of Documents: Upon joining, the relevant Laboratory/Establishment will verify the credentials of the candidates who are provisionally shortlisted. At this point, any candidate who fails to present sufficient and complete documentation will be eliminated.

  • Application Process: Candidates that meet the qualifying requirements must submit a DRDO CEPTAM application. Applicants must complete the application form online. Candidates must first sign up for the exam. Candidates can fill out the rest of the application form after successfully creating a user ID and password.
  • DRDO CEPTAM Admit Card: The CEPTAM admit card is published online individually for each segment of the test. Candidates may view their DRDO CEPTAM admission cards by signing in with the relevant credentials on the official website. DRDO CEPTAM admission card contains information such as name, date of birth, category, test location, date, and time of exam, etc.
  • Examination: The admission test is divided into many phases. The DRDO CEPTAM test is divided into two stages: Tier I and Tier II. The test format varies depending on the position. Candidates must present in the document verification process prior to final selection.
  • DRDO CEPTAM Result Announcement: The DRDO CEPTAM results are available on the official website. Candidates must login using the post applied for, application number, and captcha code to view the DRDO CEPTAM result.

 

Cut Off: 

The cut off marks are the minimal marks that a candidate must get in the written test. These are determined by the categories and the number of applicants that took the Exam. Candidates are encouraged to keep this in mind and take advantage of the opportunity.

Exam Center

For Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams, the examination authority specifies DRDO CEPTAM test centres. Candidates can select any three cities in the order of their choosing from the list of test centres for the Tier 1 exam. Once a candidate has chosen an exam centre, that choice is considered permanent and cannot be modified. The examination authority maintains the right to add or remove any exam centre and to assign applicants to a centre other than the one they selected. Tier 2 candidates are not needed to select a DRDO CEPTAM test centre (Trade Test). Tier 2 test cities are chosen based on operational requirements.
