Introduction

Rashtriya Sanskrit University was located in Tirupati and was founded in 1961. The university was established by the Ministry of Education. It is a Deemed University and was established under the Ministry of Education by the Government of India to provide traditional sastras and Pedagogy. The university also provides traditional courses in Advaita Vedanta, Dvaita Vedanta, Sankhya, Jyotisha, Sahitya, Mimamsa, Nyaya, Sankhya Yoga, etc.

The professional courses offered in the university are Siksha Acharya and SikshaSastri both the programs are monitored by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). Admission in this program like PG and UG courses will be based on the merit list obtained by the students as well as on personal interviews.

National Sanskrit University Application process

  • To take admission into M. Ed, B. Ed and Ph.D. courses applicants can apply through online mode before the last date
  • Register on the official website to get user ID and Password
  • After entering all information take user ID and Password
  • Pay the application fee through online mode and the application fee will be Rupees 1000

Documents required to fill the application form:

  • Attested copy of DOB certificate
  • Mention Birth as mentioned
  • Take the attested copy of the degree or provisional certificate
  • Valid identity card with stamp size photo
  • Attested copy of caste certificate
  • Attested copy of previous year certificate
  • Duly filled acknowledge card with stamped
  • All the previous year’s educational mark sheets

Key Points to take admission

  • To take admission into a PhD program, applicants must have to go through Combined VidyaVaridhi Entrance Test
  • It is mandatory to clear the JRF/ NET/ SLET/ Lectureship test for those candidates who want to take admission to PhD program
  • To take admission into B. Ed program applicants must have to go through the Combined ShikshaShastri Entrance Test
  • For the M.Ed program, applicants must have to go through the CSAET (Combined Shiksha Acharya Entrance Test)
  • For candidates who are belonging to schedule caste the reservation criteria is 15%
  • For Schedule Tribe candidates the reservation criteria are 7.5%
  • For widows of armed force/ killed during the war/ children’s the reservation, criteria is 3%
  • For Blind and otherwise abled the reservation criteria is 3%

National Sanskrit University Admission process for UG

The university provides a huge range of UG courses in the streams of Science and Arts under a variety of specializations. Make sure applicants should have to complete the intermediate exam for UG programs. The UG programs period will be three years. Make sure the students will be considered based on merit lists and personal interviews.

BA (Sastri Sammanita) Applicants should have completed intermediate
BA (Sastri Veda Bhashyam and Vedic Studies) Applicants passed Samhita/ Shukla Yajurveda/ Yajurveda/ and must have knowledge of Sanskrit. 
BA (H) Completed intermediate
B. Sc (Sastri) Completed PrakSastri and intermediate exam or any equivalent exam with Mathematics and Sanskrit mandatory subjects
MA in Acharya Completed three year degree in Sastri. But the applicants who have Sanskrit as the second language or any one of the subjects in Graduate level are also eligible for the admission into Acharya in Sahitya, Dharmasastra and Puranetihasa. 
MA in Hindi Applicants must have completed any graduate degree or equivalent degree with the second language in Hindi
M. Sc in CS and Sanskrit language technology Applicants must have completed CA and Sanskrit in their intermediate
PG Diploma in Comparative Aesthetics Must have Acharya or any equivalent degree with 55% aggregate marks
MAM in Ancient Indian Mgmt. Techniques Applicants must have graduate degree with at least 50% marks
M. Ed Should have B. Ed degree
B. Ed Must have Graduation degree in any discipline
