Introduction

Rajasthan State Legislature established Jagannath University in 2008 by Act No. 19 of 2008. Jagannath University is authorized to award degrees and diplomas and to give certificates under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.The University was founded to meet the country's rising need for higher education. One of the major goals of this university is to teach and make accessible skilled labour to accelerate long-term economic growth in today's highly competitive global economy.

The University is located in Rampura, Tehsil Chaksu, Jaipur on a sprawling campus stretched across 50 acres of land, with all contemporary educational facilities and a dedicated transportation system connecting Jaipur City and the Campus. The university campus is completely Wi-Fi equipped, with well-planned contemporary infrastructure and a residential complex for teachers and employees.

Jagannath University was approved by the Distance Education Council in 2010 as a school of distance learning. The school was established by the Distance Education Bureau and by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEB. It is well-equipped with computer and other infrastructure, a dedicated teaching faculty, administrative support, and training centres to serve its students and clients in their best interests.

The University promotes discipline, commitment, devotion, determination, enthusiasm, patience, a positive perspective, and, most importantly, faith among its students. True, a conducive atmosphere with up-to-date technology inputs and the most recent knowledge aids not only in offering quality education but also in providing a personal touch and devotion to the purpose of the nation and society.

In the Faculty of Education, Science, Engineering, Arts, Management, Law, Architecture, and Research, the university provides Diploma, UG, PG, Ph.D., and Integrated Programs. Jagannath University also offers remote learning programs in various specialties.

Admission

The application forms are accessible on the University's official website. The forms can be filed both online and offline.

Steps to Apply online:

  • Login to the website of Jagannath University.
  • Choose out the tab under "Application Applied For."
  • Choose the course for which you want to apply (From the Programme Applied For dropdown list).
  • Fill out the Personal Details and other information.
  • Click Proceed to Pay to pay the application fee online using Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.

Steps to Apply Offline

  • You can obtain the forms either on campus or by downloading them from the university's website.
  • Complete the application form of JU.
  • Submit the completed form together with the application fees in cash or by demand draught.
  • The DD should be made payable to Jagannath University in Jaipur.
  • Along with your completed application, attach the required documents.
  • The application form can be submitted either at Chaksu Campus or Sitapur Campus.
