Sri Balaji University, previously known as the Indian Institute of Modern Management (IIMM), is a premier educational institution in Pune. Dr. (Col.) A. Balasubramanian founded this instituion in 1999.
He made his dream of establishing a world-class management institute a reality by establishing the Sri Balaji Society, a charity trust, and laying the groundwork for the first management institute.
Currently, the university has four management institutes: the Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB), the Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resources Development (BIMHRD), the Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM) and the Balaji Institute of Telecom Management (BITM).
Aside from these four institutions, it also has a two undergraduate and graduate colleges, Balaji College of Arts, Commerce, and Science (BCACS), law college, Balaji Law College (BLC), and Balaji Junior College of Arts, Commerce, and Science. Savitribai Phule Pune University is associated with BCACS, BLC and BJCACS. After obtaining AICTE accreditation for the management courses offered by its four institutes, Sri Balaji University relocated to its current location in Tathwade, Pune in 2006 from three separate locations in Pune.
The first Sri Balaji University institution, the IIMM (Indian Institute of Modern Management) was established in 1999 on the grounds of the Agrasen Maharaj High School in Yerwada, Pune. IIMM provides PGDM certificates in Management education with the option of specialisation. PGDM diplomas in Information Technology and Marketing (IT&M) (IT & Marketing) and Personnel Management and Human Resource Development (PM&HRD).
The second institution, the Indian Centre for Telecom Management (ICTM), was founded in 2002 in a building behind the Pune railway station. This institution provides one-of-a-kind telecom and telecommunication courses linked to IT and technical infrastructure, as well as management systems, so that its students can be changed into experts capable of managing the technical side of business.
The third establishment, the Indian Centre for International Business (ICIB), was founded in 2003 on the Agrasen Maharaj Campus. The institute provides programmes that aim to develop its students into future-ready international level persons. The institute converts its students into professionals, trained to control, manage, and excel in worldwide enterprises through courses in marketing, finance, and international management.
The fourth institution, the ICMHRD (Indian Centre for Management and Human Resources Development) was founded in 2004 in the Brahma Estate building in Kondwa Kund, Pune.
The institute offers courses in marketing and finance, general management, project management and human resource development.
BIMM offers two-year full-time MBA programs that are AICTE-approved. MBA programmes at BIMM include Information Technology and Marketing, General Management, Human Resource Development, and Project Management and a PGDM-Executive MBA for experienced professionals.

Candidates who are looking for admission to BIMM Pune, should register themselves on the college's official website before the end date. Balaji Institute of Modern Management Pune provides AICTE-accredited two-year full-time MBA programmes in a variety of specialisations.
Selection procedure includes written examination, group discussions and personal interviews. Admission to the PGDM course is based on National Level Entrance Exams such as the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/MH-CET/MAT exams.
The institute will conduct a Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Essay Writing session for the students who have cleared the entrance examination.
This expert panel interview and the essay grades will be worth 30% of the total weightage. This panel will evaluate candidates based on a variety of criteria, including their fitness for a certain specialisation.
