Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test or also known as HPCET is a state-level entrance exam. This exam is conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University. After successfully qualifying for this HPCET exam applicants can get admission in B.Pharmacy, B.Tech, M.Pharmacy, M.Tech, MCA, and MBA programs affiliated by the HPTU. Those applicants who have qualified for the JEE mains will be eligible for direct admission in HPCET.
All the admission shall be strictly done on the basis of performance in the exam HPCET. The application mode will be done through offline/Pen-Paper mode. B.Pharma: Applicants need to clear 12th exam with PCM / Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subjects with at least 45% marks ( for other categories 40% marks) is required.
B.Tech: Candidates must have need to clear class 12th or intermediate exam with Physics, Mathematics and Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Technical Vocational/ Biology subjects with at least 45% marks for reserved categories applicants required 40% marks.
M.Tech: Candidates who hold the BE or B.Tech degree in the respective discipline with 50% of aggregate marks ( for reserved category 45% marks required) will be eligible.
M.Pharma: applicants should have B.Pharma degree with 50% of aggregate marks (in case of reserved category the minimum percentage required 45% marks) are eligible.
B.Pharma (Ayurveda): The candidates should have cleared 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 45% marks (for other category applicants 40% marks required).
MCA: Applicants must need to hold a bachelor’s degree from any stream with 50% of aggregate marks (for reserved category candidates the percentage requirement 45% marks). Make sure applicants should have Mathematics in Intermediate.
MBA: Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream with at least 50% marks ( for reserved category applicants 45% marks) is required.
