Introduction

The NPE (National Policy of Education) of 1986 highlighted the importance of distant education in the growth and promotion of higher education. In this backdrop, CABE (the Central Advisory Board of Education), Government of India, made a crucial decision to expand and promote distant education in the 8th year plan by establishing a state open university based on the distance education model. On this foundation, the MPBOU (Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University) was formed in 1991 by an Act of the State Assembly. It was named after India's legendary maharaja, Raja Bhoj. Initially, the university was founded with the following objectives:

  • To broaden and promote higher education by reaching out to the underprivileged through a variety of flexible means suitable to open and remote education modes, utilizing emerging information and communication technology.
  • Promote national integration and the integrated development of human personality for the community's well-being.
  • Establishing/maintaining standards and promoting distance education

 

Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University (MPBOU) is a remote (distance) learning educational institution that offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Admission to the courses is based on the results of the qualifying examinations. Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Rewa, Chindwara, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Satna, Barwani and Ujjain are the university's zonal centres. It works with organisations such as the Indian Institute of Material Management, the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, and the Rehabilitation Council of India, among others. This university's mission is to expand and develop higher education, and it has established study centres in remote rural locations. Bhoj University places a specific emphasis on learners from rural regions, particularly those with disabilities. The university's goal is to provide an easily accessible system of teaching and learning through educational inputs such as satellite communication teaching, distance learning, practical classrooms and so on. The University provides a variety of UG and PG degrees, including BSc, BA, BCom, B.Ed, MSc, and MBA, with the goal of providing higher education through open and remote learning programmes. This State University is acknowledged by UGC.

Admission

MPBOU (Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University) announces the publication of the MPBOU UG Online Admission Form for UG and PG Courses. MPBOU accepts applications both online and offline.

  • Candidates must complete the application form available on the University's official website for online mode,
  • For Offline Mode, Candidates may acquire the prospectus from the admission office at the Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University campus.
  • To be admitted to B.Ed, students must obtain a valid score in the University's Entrance Exam.
  • Admission to other UG/PG programmes will be based on merit.

The MP Bhoj Open University Admission 2021-22 Application Form would be available on July 13, 2021. Students who are eligible for admission have to go to the MPOnline platform. The application form can be filled out in accordance with the University's notification. Following document verification, the institution assigns the selected candidates a registration number. The candidate's final selection is based on the marks received in prior qualifying exams. Candidates are notified of their registration via their registered mobile number.

BCA / B.Sc 10+2 from any recognised educational board with mathematics as a subject
