Introduction

NIMS Institution, Jaipur (previously National Institute of Medical Sciences), founded in 2008, is a co-educational, privately owned state university. IT is a self-supporting medical and technological university in Jaipur. It is acknowledged by the University Grants Commission (UGC), formed by the government of India by the NIMS University Act 2008. Balvir S. Tomar established the university.

The India Today 2016 Nielsen Survey rated NIMS Medical College as the fifth emerging college in India.

The campus of NIMS Jaipur is 61 acres in size. The overall number of faculty members exceeds 400, and the total student enrolment exceeds 12,000. Admissions to NIMS University Jaipur are available for courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in a variety of specialisations such as dentistry, medicine, engineering, nursing, computer science & IT, management studies, pharmacy, basic & applied sciences, law, advanced sciences, architecture & planning, humanities & social sciences, commerce, fine arts, media & mass communication.
