Introduction

On 27 July 1916, the University of Mysore was founded. It is one of the 6th oldest universities in the country and the first university in the Karnataka State. The university was established as the result of the efforts of the visionary Maharaja and the benevolence of the erstwhile Princely State of Mysore. It is the very first University accredited with 5-star status by NAAC. The vision of this university is to aspire and become a world-class University by tapping human resources from all over the world.

The main objective of this university is to develop innovative programs in emerging and basic disciplines and update them periodically to keep ourselves on track and on time. There are three campuses in Tubinakere, Hassan, /and Chamarajanagara.
