Introduction

The Periyar University was established on 17th September 1997. The university is available in Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, and Salem. The university obtained 12 B and 2 F status from UGC, New Delhi, and was accredited by UGC and was also accredited with Grade A by NAAC in 2015.

After the Great Social Reformer, the university was called ThanthaiPeriyar. The main objective of this university is to provide deep knowledge in various fields in the Arrival VilayumUlagu logo. Onwards 2008-09, there are multiple programs offered by the university and from 2009-10 the university has been offering various certificate courses.
