Introduction

A. P. Shah Institute of Technology is an Autonomous Engineering College inKasarvadavali, Maharashtra. This college was established in 2014, and is managed by the Parshvanath Charitable Trust. This college is a Jain Religious Minority College (i.e., 51% of all seats are reserved for students from the Jain Religious Minority Community). This institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai (a public university funded by the state government of Maharashtra), is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) of the Government of India. This college is also recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of the state Government of Maharashtra. It offers "Bachelor of Engineering" (B.E.) degree in any one of the following 5 disciplines: Civil engineering, Computer engineering, Electronics and telecommunication engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical engineering. The duration of these courses is 4 years.The University campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Surveillance is carried out through CCTV cameras in the laboratories and classrooms and many other places by the university.This college nurtures the managerial and leadership skills of the students with highly experienced faculties and advance teaching facilities.The APSIT college library was equipped with 22843 books covering 5025 titles. This college is spread over an area of about 400 square meters. This college is an associate member of INDEST AICTE Consortium, and had subscribed for 42 national and 21 international journals. The APSIT college library is supported with on-line access for members.
