Every year, the Ministry of Education and the Government of India release the NIRF National Institutional Ranking Framework rankings.

In 2015, NIRF was launched and in 2016 for the first time, the India ranking was released. Since then, every year it has been released.

On what Parameters NIRF Ranking is Released?

Generally, the NIRF rankings are released on the five parameters:

Research and Professional Practice
Teaching, learning, and resources
Outreach and Inclusivity
Graduation Outcome
Perception

All the parameters and different things will be considered. Like, how many students are studying in the institute, and how is the faculty? What kind of research projects are being done, and how is the performance of the institute regarding placements? What is the share of women and students coming from different communities?

The ranking is prepared by dividing many such scales usually into these five parts.

In Which Category the NIRF Ranking 2022 will be done?

NIRF India ranking is given in 11 categories including overall institute and university. There is a list of the top 100 institutes in each category.
