Introduction

Jawaharlal Nehru University also popularly known as JNU is a public central university that was located in 1969. Scholarship

  • Merit-cum-means Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students whose family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh per annum. 
  • Ford Foundation Scholarship: There are limited numbers of scholarships available for students in MA. This scholarship is offered on a merit-based with an amount of Rs. 700 per month.
  • Okita Memorial Fellowship: This scholarship is awarded to the meritorious Indian students who are enrolled in M.Phil and MA 2nd year programs. Here 2 fellowships are awarded an amount of Rs. 5,000 per month with an annual contingency of Rs. 10,000 to selected candidates.
  • G Parthasarathi Endowment Fellowship: This scholarship is awarded to the students belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribe/ Backward Tribe with an amount of Rs. 1,000 per month for a year. 
  • Tendulkar Scholarship: Scholarship of Rs. 400 is awarded to 2 students for two years.
