Introduction

Panjab University (PU) was established in the year 1882. It is a central and state government-funded university located in Chandigarh, Punjab. Panjab University is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Panjab University is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. The university has 188 affiliated colleges that are spread over Punjab.
