Introduction

The Saurashtra University is one of the significant universities in Gujarat state in India. This university was established on 23 May 1967 in Rajkot city, the administrative headquarters at Rajkot. Presently, 272 colleges in Amreli, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot and Surendranagar districts are affiliated with the Saurashtra University. The university campus is spread over 410 acres of land. The institution provides one of the modern and sophisticated infrastructures in the region of higher studies, having major departments with their own buildings and amenities. This university has 28 PG departments with 3 modern PG hostels accommodating 225 students along with a huge central library. This university has its common senate hall, canteens, medical check-up center, and staff quarters, employment information and guidance bureau. Saurashtra University also offers also offers external education to the students in arts and commerce faculties for UG and PG course level.
