The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKSBOSE) was constituted by legislation under the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education Act. The board was formed on August 28, 1975, and is known as JKBOSE. The Board has its headquarters in Srinagar and Jammu. J&K’s main objective is to acquire talent and support its development. The main objective of JKSBOSE is to set high standards for the design and implementation of learning programs for secondary school students in J&K and to realize the maximum potential of students across J&K.

The board has the power to plan and prepare curricula, select textbooks for primary, secondary, and higher education, conduct public examinations, release the results, award diplomas or certificates to persons who have succeeded in an examination, and ensure that each school has the necessary facilities, personnel, and equipment, that textbooks and only authorized textbooks and courses are taught, and to oversee and ensure that standards are in line with applicable regulations.

About Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKSBOSE)

Jammu and Kashmir conducts examinations for secondary and higher education.
