What is the Andhra University Engineering Common Entrance Test?
The Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET) is an examination designed for students who hold diplomas in engineering, technology, pharmacy, and BS. It is administered by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The AP ECET enables these candidates to gain admission into the second year of BE, BTech, or BPharmacy programs at universities and establishments approved by the state through a lateral entry scheme.
Additionally, the Andhra University Engineering Common Entrance Test (AUECET), conducted by Andhra University, is intended for students who aspire to be admitted into various engineering courses offered by Andhra University and its affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

  • For admission to BE/BTech/BPharmacy programs:
  • They should have a Diploma in engineering, technology, or Technology/Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh or an equivalent recognized by the government.
  • Alternatively, they can have a 3-year BSc Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • If they are pursuing a Diploma, they must complete the practical training before college admission.
  • A minimum of 45% marks (or 40% for reserved category candidates) are required in the relevant diploma or degree.
