The UP Police recovery and Promotion Board( UPPRPB) has recently released the typing test admit card in 2026 for the aspirants who are applying for the posts of the Sub-Inspector( SI) – non public, Assistant Sub-Inspector( ASI) – Clerk, and the Assistant Sub-Inspector( ASI) – Accounts under the UP Police SI, ASI Typing Test Admit Card 2026 phase of the recovery process. This update comes as a major corner in the recovery process for the thousands of aspirants who have successfully cleared earlier stages similar as written examination, document verification, and physical measures.

To help you prepare, here are the most important dates related to the UP Police SI, ASI Typing Test Admit Card 2026 and the forthcoming typing test

What is a Typing Test and Why is it Important? 

The typing test is a qualifying skill- based stage in the reclamation process. Candidates who applied for the reclamation to the posts of the SI( Confidential) and ASI( Clerk/ Accounts), they are needed to take the typing test to measure their typing speed and accuracy in Hindi and/ or English, depending on the post. This stage is important to move forward in the selection process. 

 

How to Download the Admit Card 

Campaigners who have qualified for the former rounds must download the admit card online, as no physical admit card will be transferred by correspondence. Follow these simple ways 

  • Visit the official website uppbpb.gov.in 
  • Look for the link that reads “ UP Police SI, ASI Typing Test Admit Card 2026 ”. 
  • Enter your Registration Number or Application Number and Date of Birth. 
  • View and download the admit card PDF. 
  • Publish multiple copies for use on the test day. 
  • Campaigners should download the hall ticket immediately to avoid delays near the test date. 

 

What Details Will Be on the Admit Card? 

Your admit card contains the following important information 

  • Candidate's Full Name 
  • Roll Number/ Registration Number 
  • Test Date & Time 
  • Test Centre Name and Address 
  • Photo and Signature of the candidate 
  •  Important Instructions for the Test Day 

After downloading, check all the details carefully — if any information is missing or incorrect, immediately communicate the UPPRPB helpline. 

 

Documents You Must Carry on Test Day 

On the day of the typing test, every candidate must bring the following  particulars 

  • Published Admit Card( Original) 
  • Valid Photo ID Proof( Original) similar to
  • Aadhaar Card( with  print) 
  • Voter ID Card 
  • Driving Licence 
  • Passport 
  • Pan Card 
  • Recent Passport Size Photos( same as uploaded in the application) 
  • Blue/ Black Ballpoint Pen and Transparent Water Bottle 

Important campaigners who fail to bring the hard- copy admit card and a valid ID document will NOT be allowed to enter the test centre. 

 

Test Timing 

  • Aspirants make sure to reach their test centre at least 60 minutes before the reporting time. 
  • The reporting time and exact schedule will be easily mentioned on the admit card. 
  • No late arrivals will be allowed entry after the gate closing time. 

 

Important Rules for campaigners 

  • Campaigners should flash back the following rules for the typing test 
  • Electronic devices like mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, and others are banned inside the test room. 
  • Wear comfortable clothes and follow all instructions given by test directors. 
  • Read all instructions published on the admit card precisely before entering the test hall. 
     

What Happens After the Typing Test? 

Once the typing test on 21 and 22 February 2026 is completed, UPPRPB will begin the process of assessing performance. Results will be published on the original website, and successful candidates will be eligible to go forward to the coming stage of the process, which may include tests, medical examination, or merit list. 

Another important date is 28 February 2026, when the short typing skill test is expected to take place for those posts where it's applicable.
