Admission

  • SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) is a prerequisite for admission to SLS in Pune.
  • Candidate must complete the SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) online registration process.
  • Candidate has to pay Rs. 1950/- as SLAT registration fee.
  • Candidate must fill out SLS, Pune payment of Rs. 1000/- per program (ie B.A. LL.B (Hons.) or/and BB.A. LL.B (Hons.)) while filling the SLAT registration form.
  • Note: It is mandatory to register and pay for both SLAT and SLS Pune. A candidate registered for SLAT and not registered for SLS, Pune by paying the above fees will not be eligible for the next stage of the PI-WAT process at SLS, Pune.

 

INTAKE

  • The total intake is 300 seats [including 180 seats of BB.A. LL.B (Hons.) and 120 seats of B.A. LL.B (Hons.)].
  • Separate merit lists for BB.A. LL.B (Hons.) and B.A. The LL.B (Hons.) program will be prepared and published. At the time of SLAT registration, it is mandatory for applicants to clearly state the program they wish to apply for. Candidate can choose BOTH or ANY program.

It is proposed that candidates who have studied Arts/Social Science subjects for the qualifying examination may apply for BA. LL.B (Hons.) Program. Similarly, candidates who have studied Commerce/Accounts/Mathematics/Science can apply for BB.A LL.B (Hons.) program. Further, candidates can choose their own program depending on their abilities, interest, and opportunities. Please note that the two programs differ only in the content of the first degree (either Humanities or Business Administration), while the legal courses offered in both programs are the same. Graduates in both streams are eligible for various legal careers and opportunities in corporate, litigation, civil services, advocacy, judiciary, academics, jobs in international organizations, international admissions, and more.

Symbiosis Law School Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C. / S.T. candidates). Students who have appeared for the Standard XII final exam and are waiting for the results can also apply if they produce the pass certificate at the time of final admission.

As part of this, students are trained, groomed, and sculpted to be the best combination of management and leadership skills and a wide range of professional skills such as advocacy, legal services, legislation, law reform, and counseling.

During the academic year, the Career and Professional Development Cell is responsible for helping students discover their areas of interest. We invite renowned law firms for school interviews and recruitment. After successfully completing recruitments in previous years, we at Career & Professional Development Cell are striving to reach greater heights.

Training And Development Program

Law firms and chambers are increasingly recruiting candidates who have a portfolio of specific skills that will equip them for success in legal practice. While talking to graduate hiring managers at leading law firms about what they look for in desirable candidates, this needs to be reformed.

The Careers and Professional Development Cell also strives to provide such opportunities to all groups of students to develop skills relevant to legal professionals.

Resume Writing Workshop

On 7th August 2017, the Career & Professional Development Cell organized a Resume Writing Workshop with a representative of Talent Bridge Technologies Ltd as the speaker. It was organized for 5th-year BBA LLB students. The workshop was very significant as there are only a few days left for various companies to start their recruitment process. The workshop was a great experience for the students. Everyone participated with enthusiasm and managed to clear their doubts about resume writing.

The workshop opened the students' eyes. Mr. Rohit Lalwani told the students the importance of quality over quantity. He stressed the importance of not celebrating yourself unnecessarily but being honest about who you are. He talked about how success is not just about winning debates and awards, but also about volunteering for an NGO and helping others. He suggested that students list achievements related to the job and the company they are applying to. He also advised them to avoid convictions and judgmental statements. Most importantly, he told them to at least read their resume twice.

Personal Excellence Program

The aim of this program is to bring personality development with respect to various factors of behavior and attitude, which have far-reaching significance in the direction of personal, institutional, and organizational effectiveness.
