Introduction

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) was founded as India’s first private medical school in the year 1953 by T.M.A Pai in Karnataka’s Udipi district, and then known as Kasturba Medical College. Manipal Institute of Technology was formed after five years. Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) gained its status as deemed University by UGC in the year 1993. Today it harbors 28,000 students from across the world under the guidance of almost 2500 faculties. It has of-campuses in Mangalore and Bangalore and off-shore campuses in Dubai (UAE) and Melaka (Malaysia). MAHE has 600 acres of wi-fi-enabled campus which includes a hospital, labs, library, sports and fitness area, and student housing.
