An online undergraduate degree in digital business and entrepreneurship has been introduced by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B). June 15 is the deadline for applications to IIM Bangalore online BBA.
The three-year Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship (BBA DBE) curriculum prepares leaders for the digital business environment by fusing entrepreneurship, business management, and digital technology.
With a focus on digital tactics and entrepreneurial methods, the curriculum includes live seminars, mentoring, and practical projects to provide students with real-world experience. The school hopes to enroll about 1000 students at the beginning of the course. About fifty faculty members will oversee the program's roughly sixty courses.
Equal chances are another goal of this program, which will enable potential students from all areas and backgrounds to carry on with their current activities without having to move or disturb their lives. This innovative curriculum blends virtual and real-world interactions to foster professional development and community building in a fast-paced setting. Although the course is primarily online, students still need to show up at their designated testing locations for a proctored exam.
The IIM Bangalore head, Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan, stated that the program is scheduled to start in September 2024. The online undergraduate program will assist students in acquiring the skills necessary to create and carry out digital-age business strategies, learn about cutting-edge digital technology, spot business possibilities, and make wise judgments that spur company expansion. Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, empowering students to take on real-world business problems and come up with creative solutions, according to Krishnan.
Students who have passed any recognized class 10, 12th board, or similar exam and have earned at least 60% of the possible points, or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), in recognized board exams for candidates in the general category as well as the NC-OBC & EWS categories.
The course costs Rs 1.25 lakh and offers a one-year diploma in Digital Business & Entrepreneurship with 22 modules totaling 45 credits. In the meantime, the two-year diploma program costs Rs 1.50 lakh and includes 21 courses totaling 45 credits. The three-year program costs Rs 1.75 lakh and comprises of 17 courses totaling 45 credits.
