Eligibility 
Before taking the TNTET exam, candidates should make sure they meet the eligibility requirements. TNTET Paper-I and Paper-II eligibility criteria have been established by the Teachers Recruitment Board. If a candidate does not meet all of the qualifications for age, nationality, and education, they will be rejected by the TRB.
Nationality: To be eligible for the TNTET 2021 exam, a candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Age Restriction: Applicants should be minimum 18 years old and under the age of 40. Age relaxation will be available to those in the reserved and special categories.
Educational Criteria:

Paper-1
 10+2 or similar with at least 50% marks and passed/pursuing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years), OR
 10+2 or similar with at least 45% marks and passed/pursuing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years), OR
 10+2 or similar with at least 50% marks and passed/pursuing final year of B.El.Ed. (4 years) (Graduation in Elementary Education), OR
 Graduation and passed/ Pursuing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years), OR
 Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/ Pursuing final year of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
Paper-2
 Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and passed/ Pursuing final year of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
 Applicants pursuing any teacher education courses acknowledged by the NCTE or the RCI.
 Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and passed/ Pursuing final year of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)

TNTET syllabus for both examinations has remained same for the past few years. Two papers cover diverse subjects and are highly useful for assessing application skills on certain issues. Exam Paper
TNET Exam Paper-I
The purpose of the Child Development and Pedagogy paper is to assess candidates' comprehension of child psychology and learning ability as it relates to children aged 6 to 11.
Language I concentrate on language skills relating to the medium of instruction. Candidates will be hired based on the availability of positions in the relevant media.
Language II English will test the candidates' communication and understanding abilities.
From a pedagogical standpoint, Environmental Studies and Math will test overall concepts, problem-solving skills, and topic understanding.
TNTET Paper I will be based entirely on the TNTET syllabus as prescribed by the test conducting organisation. The paper's overall difficulty level will be Secondary Stage.

TNET Exam-Paper II
The purpose of the Child Development and Pedagogy paper is to assess candidates' knowledge of child psychology and learning ability as it relates to children aged 11 to 14.
The proficiencies related to the Medium of Instruction will be the subject of Language 1. Candidates will be hired based on the availability of positions in the relevant medium.
Language II English will test the candidates' communication and understanding abilities.
From a pedagogical standpoint, math or social science will test broad concepts, problem-solving skills, and subject understanding.
The TNTET Paper II questions will all be based on the TNTET syllabus as prescribed by the test administering authority. The paper's overall difficulty level will be that of a senior secondary school student.

Exam Center
When filling out the TNTET application form, candidates must include a spot for TNTET exam centres. Applicants must choose one of three TNTET exam centre names based on their preference. The examination will take place in all of Tamil Nadu's districts. TNTRB will choose exam centres, and candidates will be sent to them based on their choices. Cut Off 
TNTET Cut off Marks 2020 are the minimal marks required to pass the exam and advance to the next stage of the selection procedure. Every year, the cut-off marks differ depending on the number of openings, the number of candidates, the difficulty of the paper, the previous year's cut-off, and other factors.

Selection Process
TNTET is a test that is used to verify the eligibility of applicants who want to work as teachers in government schools in Tamil Nadu. There are two sections of the exam: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for students taking the primary level exam, whereas paper 2 is for those taking the upper primary level exam. Candidates must mark their answers on the OMR sheet with a black or blue ball-point pen in order to pass the exam.
