Syllabus

The PSEB administers the PSTET Syllabus.

The PSTET Paper 1 syllabus will be limited to topics from State Standards 1 to 5, however the difficulty level and links can be of higher standards.

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: Concentrates on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning for students aged 6 to 11 years. Understanding the features and needs of Diverse Learning, contact with students, and the traits and qualities of an effective teacher

  • Language-I, Language-II: It will be chosen based on the applicant's preferences. Language 1 will concentrate on the medium of teaching that the instructor will employ. Language 2 will be any language other than Language 1 and will focus on language, communication, and understanding abilities.

  • Mathematics, and Environmental Studies: Mathematics and Environmental Studies will concentrate on ideas, problem-solving skills, and pedagogical understanding of the disciplines.

 

While, the PSTET Paper 2 syllabus covers

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: This course focuses on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning and is appropriate for students aged 11 to 14. Understanding the features and needs of Diverse Learning, contact with students, and the traits and qualities of an effective teacher.

  • Language-I, Language-II: It will be chosen based on the applicant's preferences. Language 1 will concentrate on the medium of teaching that the instructor will employ. Language 2 will be any language other than Language 1 and will focus on language, communication, and understanding abilities.

  • Mathematics, Science, and Social Science: the Mathematics and Science tests will each be worth 30 points. The exam subjects will be fairly distributed throughout the several standards syllabuses that the state government has decided on for grades 6 through 8.
