Admission

Confirmation/Admission in MGU is completely founded on merit in the MGU-GET led by school organization consistently. Students who have taken broadly perceived assessments like Cat, JEE, SAT, MAT, for admission need not give MGU-GET assessments rather they simply need to sit for the counselling system. Students can apply either online or offline for registration purpose.

Steps to apply for Online Process:

  • Go to the University's official website.
  • Select the “Admissions” option.
  • Select the “Apply Now” option.
  • Select the “New Admissions” tab.
  • Choose the relevant category and complete the form.
  • The application cost is paid online using a debit card, net banking or credit card.
  • Fill out the application form properly and submit it.

 

Steps for Offline Process:

  • Go to the University's official website.
  • Navigate over the "Admissions" button and select the "Download Admission Form" option.
  • Click on the relevant button to get the application form.
  • Fill out the application form completely and accurately by hand.
  • The application fee is INR 1000 and can be paid in cash at the MGU campus or at any Axis/PNB Bank branch, or by a DD drawn in favour of "Mahatma Gandhi University" payable in Meghalaya.
  • Send the completed application form, along with the DD to Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya’s Postal Address.

 

Admission Important Dates 2022:

MGU offers admittance to a variety of courses through its UG/PG programme. These courses are divided into subject specialities. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for these courses in order to be admitted

MGU Eligibility Criteria

UG Courses ( BA, BBA, BPT etc.) /Diploma 10+2 from an acknowledged board 
M.Sc., M. Com Graduation in relevant field from an acknowledged university
MBA Graduation + CAT
BRIT / BPT / BMLT 10+2 in Science field (40% for BMLT/BRIT and 45% for BPT)
M.Phil. / Ph.D. Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks

Selection Criteria / Admission to MGU's Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and PhD programmes will be based on MGU-GET scores as well as performance in a personal interview
