IIT Kanpur Organizing GATE Exam 2023: Application form Dates

By 2023, the GATE exam will be organized by IIT Kanpur. The exam dates have been announced and will be conducted on 4, 5, 11, and 12 February 2023. The exam will be conducted online mode. Willing applicants can fill out their application form from the first week of September 2022. Only eligible can fill out the GATE application form. The eligibility depends on academic qualifications, Age limit, and Nationality.

GATE is a computer-based test and will be conducted in twenty-nine subject areas. It is a national-level entrance exam that will be held for the purpose to test the comprehensive understanding of multiple UG subjects in various fields such as humanities, engineering, management, sciences, and social sciences. Applicants who are studying in the third year of their UG degree or completed any other government-relevant degree in Technology/ Commerce/ Sciences/ Technology/ Architecture/ Arts can apply for this exam.

 

Important Dates of GATE Exam 2023 Registration:

  • Starting date of GATE online Application- 30, August 2022
  • Last date to fill out the application form- 30, September 2022
  • Closing date of extended application form with late fees- 7, October 2022
  • Application modification date- 4, November 2022 to 11, November 2022
  • Admit Card Availability- 3, January 2023
  • GATE Exam Date- 4,5,11, and 12 February
  • Applicants’ response in the application portal- 15, February 2023
  • Answer keys availability on the application portal- 21, February 2023
  • Submission of Challenges of Answer Key- 22, February 2023 to 25, February 2023
  • Result Announcement- 16, March 2023
  • Availability of Score Card- 21, March 2023

Key points of GATE Exam 2022-23:

  • The exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
  • The exam will be held once a year
  • GATE is a national-level entrance exam

  • The application fee will be Rupees 1500
  • The GATE exam 2023 will be held only in online mode
  • There are 1060 participating colleges in the GATE exam

Steps to fill out the GATE Application form?

  • Step 1- Interested applicants can visit the GOAPs portal to complete the registration process for GATE 2023. For registration, applicants need to enter their name, residence, email address, mobile number, etc. after filling in all required information a password will be generated for future login.
  • Step 2- In this step, applicants have to enter their personal and academic information. The preferred GATE exam paper along with two exam centers, so applicants can choose any two exam centers as per their choice.
  • Step 3- After filling in all information, applicants then have to upload their signature, photograph, and category certificate (if available).
  • Step4- In the last step applicants have to pay the GATE Exam Application Fee through online mode.

 

The registration fee for the GATE exam will be different for each category:

  • For Male (OBC, General, and others- Rupees 1500
  • For Female applicants- Rupees 750
  • For PWD/ SC/ ST- Rupees 750
  • For International students- Rupees 1500

 

Steps to edit GATE Application Form 2023:

  • Go to the GOAPS website
  • Log in to the website by using your email ID or enrollment number and password
  • Now, you can make necessary changes by paying such as exam paper, city, category, and gender.
  • After making changes click on the submit button

 

Admit Card of GATE Exam 2023

The admit card for the GATE Entrance exam 2023 will be available from 3, January 2023. the authority added 23 new cities so that students don’t have to travel too far. 
 

Syllabus of GATE 2023:

The syllabus of GATE 2023 is divided into four sections, each section has sub-sections. The syllabus of the GATE exam will be different for each subject, candidates can check the detailed syllabus from the website.

  • Verbal Aptitude
  • Analytical Aptitude
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Spatial Aptitude

 

GATE 23 New Cities 2023

The authority added 23 cities in 8 zones for the convenience of candidates. These newly added zones will help candidates from across the country. The zones are:

  • IISc Bangalore (37 cities),
  • IIT Delhi (18 cities),
  • IIT Bombay (38 cities),
  • IIT Guwahati (22 cities),
  • IIT Kharagpur (27 cities),
  • IIT Kanpur (15 cities),
  • IIT Madras (42 cities), and
  • IIT Roorkee (20 cities).
