Introduction

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the year 2003 under the UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature. UPES is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC). UPES is spread over 44 acres in the lush and verdant environment of Dehradun. The university also conducts its entrance exams such as UPESEAT, ULSAT, UPESMET, etc. UPES has two campuses in Dehradun, known as UPES Bidholi and UPES Kandoli.
