Introduction

Sarojini Naidu Medical College (SNMC) is among the oldest medical colleges in India. It was established in the year 1854 by the British Indian Government as a facility for the practice of the British Military Doctors. The institute was named after the first lady, Governess of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Sarojini Naidu. It is presently affiliated to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Uttar Pradesh.
