Punjab State Has Started Admission Portal For All Government Colleges

The Punjab State Government has launched a centralized admission portal on Wednesday. The admission portal has been launched for the candidates so that they can get admission to government colleges that are affiliated with Punjab University, Punjabi University in Patiala, and Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar.
 

The portal has been launched at the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Chandigarh. While launching the portal Punjab Minister for Higher Education Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has said that the state government was working to ensure the online services for the candidates to make their education and studies easier and efficient. The portal has been developed by the state Department of Governance Reform (DoGR) in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education (DHE).

 

The minister of Punjab has added that the common admission platform will be a central hub for all the applicants. It will be an end-to-end admission journey and the candidates will need to file a single application form to apply for different colleges and courses.
 

In a statement state higher education department has said that the portal will ensure admissions process without any physical counselling. The payment of the fee will also be made online and will make the communication easy for the candidates. The colleges can directly contact with the applicants with the help of applicants manager via an email or individual/ bulk SMS or a call. The candidates will be able to see the online admission process in a transparent manner.
