The online application process has been started for admission to the B.Ed course at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU). The eligible applicants can apply for admission to the colleges that are affiliated with GNDU, Amritsar, Punjabi University, Patiala, Panjab University, and Chandigarh. The applicants can apply through the official website of Guru Nanak Dev University. The deadline to submit the online form along with the application fee for the program is June 28, 2022.
The aspirants need to appear and qualify for the Common Entrance Test (CET) for getting admission to the B.Ed course. The common entrance exam conducted by the university will include all objective-type questions. The common entrance exam will be conducted in both English and Punjabi.
Guru Nanak Dev University Admit Card for B.Ed CET will be issued by July 12, 2022. Whereas, the entrance exam will be held on 24th July 2022. The minimum qualifying marks in the Common Entrance Test will be 25 percent for General category candidates, and 20 percent for SC/ ST candidates.
As per the convenience of the students, the examination centers will be set up in all the district headquarters of Punjab as well as Chandigarh.
Professor Dr. Amit Kauts, Coordinator has stated said that as per the notification the candidates with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in graduation in any stream can apply for the Common Entrance Test. Whereas, 45 percent in the case of Scheduled Caste and Backward Class. The candidates who have master's degrees can also appear for the Common Entrance Test.
He has further stated that Punjab Government has notified 211 colleges. The affiliated universities that have approved the participation include 59 colleges with 6,950 seats of Panjab, along with 51 colleges with 4,800 seats of Guru Nanak Dev University, and 79 colleges of Punjabi University, Patiala with 8,450 seats.
