Introduction

National Jalma Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases (NJILMD), Agra is a public institute for diagnosis, treatment, and management of Leprosy. The institute was established in the year 1976 and later on, it was undertaken by the Government of India and subsequently by the Indian Council of Medical Research. The Institute initially administrated and monitored by the Japanese Leprosy Mission for Asia (JALMA), which is a Tokyo based voluntary Organization. The institute has since its establishment has proven to be of immense use and beneficial for the country.
