Introduction

National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) was founded in the year 1996 at Berhampur, Odisha by SM Charitable Educational Trust. It is an UGC approved autonomous institution which was also accredited by NAAC with A grade. Data Quesr CMR Survey Report has ranked the college in 28th position in the year 2013-14. The college was also awarded Best Teaching Learning Institute by eINDIA. It was ranked 1st position by BPUT's public voting for best engineering college. NIST offers undergraduate, postgraduate, degree and doctoral programmes to the students in various disciples with all the necessary requirements like library, labs, hostels, medical facilities and many more.
