Introduction

National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) is one of the pioneers in formalizing the dairy research in India. The institute is a premier educational institute established in the year 1923. The institute is one of the oldest dairy research institute established in India. In 1989, NDRI was accorded the status of Deemed to be University. The institute is located in Karnal, Haryana state of India. The institute has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of India, New Delhi. It has also received approval from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
