Introduction

National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) was established in the year 1923 at Bangalore as Imperial Institute of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. It got its present name after independence in the year 1947. The status of deemed to be university was obtained in the year 1989. The institute is known to confer diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree to the students in the dairy related fields. The University also facilitates the students with the necessary requirements that are required for the development of the students like hostels facilities, medicals facilities, well equipped labs library and many more.
