Introduction

Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam was founded in the year 2015 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and is been mentored by IIM Bangalore. The campus is spread over an area of 241 acres. The flagship program of IIM Visakhapatnam is a full-time MBA program. The institute has been designated with the status of 'Institute of National Importance' under the Indian Institute of Management Act 2017. Apart from an MBA course, the institute also offers Executive MBA, PGP-DGM, and Ph.D. courses.

    • The applicants should have a Master’s degree or Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Bachelors along with a Master’s degree
    • The applicants should have a professional qualification such as CA, CS with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks
    • The applicants should have 4-years of Bachelor’s degree with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.

Scholarship

  • The institute offers financial support to PGP and Ph.D students. The family income of the applicants applying for PGP course should be below Rs 6 lakh is eligible. 
  • Ministry of Tribal Affairs Scholarship (ST): The applicants from the National Scholarship for Higher Education for Scheduled Tribe can apply for the scholarship of PGP first year.
  • Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Scholarship (SC): The students from the National Scholarship for Higher Education for Scheduled Tribe can apply for the scholarship of PGP first year.
  • Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Candidates with a disability having not less than 40 per cent disability are eligible for the scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is Rs 2.55 lakh per year.
  • Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS: This scholarship is awarded to the poor and meritorious who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the previous final examination. The annual family income should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh. 
  • The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam also provides financial and infrastructural support to Ph.D students. They are awarded with a stipend of Rs 30,000 per month in the first year who are pursuing a Ph.D degree.
