Introduction

HARCOURT BUTLER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (HBTU) is a public technical university formerly known as Harcourt Butler Technological Institute. The university was founded in the year 1921 by the British government. It is among the oldest technical universities in the country. The university has since its establishment, proved to be a center of excellence and has sincerely upgraded its standards. It is reflected by the ISO 9001:2000 certificate awarded to the university. It has received various awards from many national and international organization. It is one of the few educational institutions in India to receive funding from the World Bank.
