Introduction

GSVM MEDICAL COLLEGE is a premier medical college and research center in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was entrenched in the year 1955 by the late Shri Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, a great freedom fighter. It was the first medical college in the state of UP post-independence. The foundation stone was laid down by Shri Dr. Rajendra Prashad, the first President of India. It is affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJM), Kanpur. The institute is proud to state that it has received approval from the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. The institute is funded by the Government of India.
