Introduction

The Government College (GC) is one of the best govt. higher educational college in Kottayam, Kerala. It is a government managed college and was established in the year 1972. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) and recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC). It is also accredited as the “A” grade by the NAAC. It has many campus facilities and have different clubs for extracurricular activities like NCC and NSS for students. The college provide both undergraduate and postgraduate programs like B. Sc., B.A., B. Com., M. Sc., M.A., M. Com. in fifteen different courses across three streams.
