Introduction

The Government College of Engineering is a public educational institution located in the Tamil Nadu State of India. It is among the most preferred engineering college in Tamil Nadu, India. The Institute was established in the year 1966 by the state government. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Most of the engineering programmes offered by the institute are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). GCE Salem in the year 2009 promoted the institute as one of the autonomous engineering College in Tamil Nadu. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved the institute.
