Introduction

The government college of engineering and leather technology (GCELT) is one of the developing engineering college in India. GCELT was established in the year 1919 under British Rule. This college provide well maintained library, having nearly 18000 books as well as 16 national and 12 international journals. The main focus of GCELT is on teaching and research in leather technology, footwear and leather goods making. This government college has introduced international collaboration with the government of Italy to develop the Tanning training and service center at Bantala.
