Overview

NEET is known as National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test which is conducted by NTA. This is a national level entrance exam. This exam offers admission into various courses like BDS, MBBS, and Ayush Courses into top Government and Private medical institute across the country. Admission in the top colleges Medical institution such as AFMC, AIIMS, JIPMER, and multiple renowned government or private medical institutes.
The NEET registration process will be held in the month of February 2022. There will be two stages in the registration process. The below article will provide the detailed information such as application form, eligibility criteria, exam dates, and syllabus.

Eligibility


The eligibility criteria of NEET exam will be depend on various factors:

  • Nationality 
    • Applicants who are from India/ NRIs/ OCI/ PIO/ Foreign nationals will be able to fill their application form.
    • For J&K migrants there will be 15% all India quota only through the self declaration results
  • Age criteria
    • Candidates should have at least 17 years of their age before or during 31st December of their admission year
    • No upper age limit has been decided by the authority
  • Educational Qualification
    • Candidates must have to completed 12th or Intermediate exam from the recognized board of education
    • Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology/ Biology and English are the mandatory subjects in their previous year qualifying exam
    • 50% marks required for general category applicants
    • 40% marks required for OBC/ ST/ SC category applicants
    • 45% marks required for PWD applicants

Syllabus

Physics: Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Electromagnetic Waves, Laws of Motion, Behavior of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Electrostatic, Electronic Devices, Properties of Bulk Matter, etc.

Biology: Diversity in Living World, Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, Reproduction, Ecology & Environment, Cell Structure and Function, Biology and Human Welfare, etc.

Chemistry: Equilibrium, Hydrogen, Electro Chemistry, Alcohols, P-Block Elements, Electrochemistry, Surface Chemistry, Phenols and Ethers, etc.

Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be conducted through offline mode
  • The NEET question paper available in various languages like Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, English, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, and Urdu.
  • 3 hours will be the total time duration to solve the question paper
  • 180 questions will be asked in the NEET question paper

Exam Application Process

The application form of the exam NEET  will be completely carried out through the online mode. Make sure, no other mode will be provided by the authority for filling the application form.
Applicants, at the time of registration need to enter their valid email id as well as mobile number or other details will be sent to it.
The NEET application process will be completed into various steps such as registration, filling the NEET application form, uploading the scanned image of photographs & signature, pay the NEET application fee.
The authority will also offer correction window facility, so candidates who have made any kind of mistakes at the time of filling their NEET application form will be able to make correction in the application from March, 2022.

Registration Fees of NEET Exam 

  • The registration fees for General Category applicants will be Rupees 1400
  • For PWD/ SC/ ST categories the application fees will be Rupees 750

Merit List NEET exam

Once the result will be announced then NEET merit list will be available through online mode on the official website. The NEET exam 2021 merit list will be prepared by the NTA as per the directions of DCI DGHS, and MCI. The merit list of NEET UG program, will be done on the basis of AII India Rank for admission into MBBS or BDS courses.
A merit list will be available by the NTA containing the name candidates who have opted for 15% All India quota seats.

Cut off of NEET

The cut off of NEET exam will be depended on multiple factors such as difficulty level of the NEET exam, total number of questions, previous year cut off, and performance of the students. This year, the expected cutoff for General applicants will be 50% and for PH categories 45% and 40% for reserved categories.
