Admission

CMS College, Kottayam, was founded in 1817 and is currently one of Kerala's largest institutions, with 14 departments offering 47 courses, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and research courses, to 1900 students, 110 teaching faculty, and 35 administrative personnel.
Admission to all of these courses is based on merit, except for some courses that require students to attend an interview. The Mahatma Gandhi University follows a consistent approach while preparing rank lists and calculating index marks.
The application procedure for undergraduate courses typically begins in May and ends in the first week of June. The application process for PG courses is slated for July.

  • After the last day of applying, a late application may be submitted after getting special sanction from the Principal
  • The college has special relaxation in marks for SC/ST students
  • For PG programs, the college takes into consideration the CGPA attained by the students at their UG level
