CMS College (CMSC), Kottayam is an autonomous college founded in 1817 by the Church Missionary Society of England, and it is one of India's oldest higher education institutions. CMS College is connected with Mahatma Gandhi University and provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programs in finance and taxes, mathematics, English language and literature, history, botany, chemistry, and physics, among other fields. According to the NIRF Ranking 2021, the college is ranked 93rd in its category. CMS College is located in Kerala, and the nearest railway station is Kottayam, which is 2 kilometres away. Students can take a taxi or an auto-rickshaw from the railway station to the campus in about 7 minutes.

I received my bcom degree from CMS College. It was a positive experience with an experienced faculty. They were nice to the children and provided appropriate assistance whenever needed. They also supported us effectively during the project.

Placements

Placements are quite mediocre. Companies do come to the campus, but the employment roles they offer and the pay are ordinary. If you do not want to pursue further education, you can do something here.

Value for Money

There is no fee if you are in an aided department. The only fee that you have to pay is the test fee, thus it's entire value for money.

The environment is particularly wonderful in CMS, with the large campus spanning across 35 acres, it offers you a good on-campus experience that you can always cherish dear to your heart.

CMS College, Kottayam, was founded in 1817 and is currently one of Kerala's largest institutions, with 14 departments offering 47 courses, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and research courses, to 1900 students, 110 teaching faculty, and 35 administrative personnel.
Admission to all of these courses is based on merit, except for some courses that require students to attend an interview. The Mahatma Gandhi University follows a consistent approach while preparing rank lists and calculating index marks.
The application procedure for undergraduate courses typically begins in May and ends in the first week of June. The application process for PG courses is slated for July.
