Introduction

Barama College is one of the oldest colleges in Assam. The College was established on 5^th February 1971 in Baksa district of Assam. The college is a private Institute affiliated under Gauhati University. The departments present in the college are English, Assamese, Bodo, Political Science, Economics, History, Mathematics, Education, Geography, Philosophy, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany. The Institute consists of 44 faculties and 1084 students. Barama College is a recipient of accreditation by the NAAC in 2016. The college has been awarded B+ grade by NAAC. The Institute has a library named Surendra Nath Das Library compromising of 31000 books.
